Long Island Wineries Donate to Local Hospitals

Long Island Wine Country members donated more than $11,500 in funds to East End hospitals as part of a unified effort to support our local healthcare system and community healthcare workers.

Over the last few weeks Long Island Wine Country member wineries have been making donations to East End hospitals—including Peconic Bay Medical Center, Eastern Long Island Hospital, and Southampton Hospital—as part of a collective effort to support our local community and our healthcare system.

Sixteen wineries including Channing Daughters Winery, Chronicle Wines, Clovis Point Vineyard & Winery, Croteaux Vineyards, Lenz Winery, Lieb Cellars, Macari Vineyards, Mattebella Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards, Paumanok Vineyards, Raphael, RGNY, Shinn Estate Vineyards, Sparkling Pointe, Suhru Wines, and Wolffer Estate Vineyard have donated to East End hospitals to date.

“We continue to be moved by the life-saving work carried out at our local hospitals. Long Island Wine Country stands together in doing what we can to support our healthcare heroes,” Kareem Massoud, President of Long Island Wine Country.

Additionally, Long Island Wine Country wishes to acknowledge one of our member wineries—Shinn Estate Vineyards—for making an incredibly generous donation of $100,000 to Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. We thank the Frankel Family for their leadership in making this gift and getting help to those who need it most urgently.

Since 1973, Long Island wine growers have been dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality, providing environmental & community stewardship, and preserving this magical place that is our home. Our Mission is to inspire, sustain, and promote Long Island wine.
